The Speed Dials feature in ConnectUC allow users to manage, create, and customize their own Speed Dial buttons that allow for convenient actions and allows Admin users (Office Manager role and above) to manage Speed Dial settings for other users.
Speed Dial buttons can be configured to do the following:
- Dial a Number
- Call a Contact
- Open a URL
Speed Dials Creation and Management
From the Calls tab, Users can manage their own Personal Speed Dials by clicking the “Gear” icon located in the right-hand side of the page.
The Manage Speed Dials setting allows users to:
- Customize the location of the Speed Dials bar (side bar or bottom bar).
- Toggles for Speed Dial Bar display:
- Show on all pages.
- Show on Attendant Console page.
- Show on Call Center agent page.
- Create new Speed Dial buttons and Edit existing Speed Dial Buttons.
To Create a New Speed Dial:
- Click the “+ Add Speed Dial” button.
- Enter the Type of Speed Dial.
- Personal speed dials apply to the user.
- System speed dials apply to all users.
- Enter the Button Type (Determines the behavior of the button when clicked).
- Speed Dial Number – Dials the phone number you enter here when the button is clicked.
- Contacts – Calls the Contact you enter here when the button is clicked.
- Features – Toggles the feature you select here when the button is clicked (Day/Night Mode is included in this option).
- URL – Opens the URL you enter here when the button is clicked.
- Customize Button (Color, Icon, Image)
- Click “Save” to create the Speed Dial button.
Once a Speed Dial button has been created, they will appear in the Speed Dials side bar menu.
Users may also edit and delete Speed Dials by clicking the “Gear” icon to access Speed Dial settings and either selecting the “Pencil” icon to edit or the “Trash Can” icon to delete a speed dial.
Adding Icons or Images allow for further customization of the Speed Dial buttons. If a contact was added as a Speed Dial, their profile picture will automatically appear as the image.
