Get to Know the Native ConnectUC Desktop

You can find links for both MacOS and Windows conveniently located under the ‘Apps’ section of the ConnectUC settings menu on the web version.

Using the ConnectUC Native App

When loading the app for the first time, you will be asked to sign in just as you would with the web application.

After signing in to the ConnectUC Native app, you will have access to all the same options available within the Web application.

Assigning the Native ConnectUC App as the default calling app

  1. After installing the ConnectUC desktop app, follow these steps to set it as your default calling application:
  2. Open the Settings on your Windows PC.
  3. Go to Apps > Default apps.
  4. Scroll down and find ConnectUC in the app list.
  5. Click on ConnectUC, then look for the TEL protocol.
  6. Assign ConnectUC as the default app for the TEL protocol.

This allows you to click on phone numbers (e.g., in emails or browsers) and automatically launch calls through ConnectUC.
